We employ local Homemakers for production and packaging and provide flexible hours full or part time on their schedules which is valuable to them to them as to not take away their their role in the community and and their family.
Made grew up in a Balinese farming family and agriculture has always been her passion and to be a faithful guardian of mother nature.
Tea inspiration began when Made went to a Sunday market in Dublin and discovered the vast world of teas from around the globe.
In July 2015, she went to Mumbai to learn how to make chai tea. Right then she decided to make tea her life and Made Tea was established on 15 July 2015.
When Made returned to Bali, her focus was to cultivate the wondrous variety of local plants and herbs to share with the world the dream of improving health, happiness and wellbeing through the creation and beauty of unique, uplifting and delicious teas.
We’re proud to collaborate with our artisan partners in Bali, bridging the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern design. Together, we create handcrafted pieces that bring the beauty of Balinese artistry into homes around the world. Through these partnerships, we help support sustainable incomes while creating opportunities for education, innovation, and brighter futures for artisan families.

Ceramics from the Village of Pejaten
Hand thrown ceramics by an artisan collective of 65 people, this ceramic business supports women and the local village by giving sustainable jobs, teaching a heritage craft, and providing fair income.
Textiles from the Village of Denpasar
Hand screened textiles are a traditional staple of indonesian culture, using natural dyes and dried by the sun. We've partnered with multiple sarong artisan collectives to bring you modern designs using an age-old tradition.
Tea from the Village of Ubud
Hand picked teas of the highest quality, employing local homemakers for farming and packaging and providing flexible hours, full or part-time schedules, valuing and empowering their role in the community and their family.
Coffee from the Village of Kintamani
Handcrafted coffee grown by local Balinese farmers who practice the ‘Subak Abian’ method of farming, which means they work together in a local co-operative, to support one another, to share knowledge and resources.
